What does it mean to be in a body? Performance art has been a means for me to  explore the nature and complexities of my relationship to my body, and its relationship to the external world. In  seeking to explore the consciousness within and through my body, I strive to expose and express my inner being, in celebration of, and in reaction to, my experience of embodiment. Themes of confinement, restriction, silence, and deprivation are repeatedly evoked in my performative work, which becomes a reflective pivot between personal inner and impersonal outer landscapes. Some of my performances have involve abstinance and stimulus deprivation as a means to enjoy altered perception and heightened awareness.
